Thumb dagger

Little thumb dagger made from a left over piece, it's based on the OSS thumb dagger with a few changes to make it both legal and of a bit more use other than killing Nazi's. A dimple for the thumb and and cuts for grip, made those with a Dremel cutting disk not the best tool for the job but it works but it does look less pretty.

Scalpel blade folder

Some time ago I got the idea of making a tiny folding knife but the blade would be a scalpel blade, like most of you I have a plenty and wen dull just throw it out and does blades are perfect for cutting up all does boxes from shipping but the handles are not so save to carry, a normal blade just gets dull fast from boxes.
So I started with my own tiny folder and grinded out the basic shape out of a scrap piece of steel and with a dremel I made it to fit the blade.
Tomorrow I will start with a wooden handle if I still have a good piece anyway.

update: fit was not as good it could be so second try

grey piece above is the test piece out of clay and will be the folder handle

Hook knife

Last week I started on a quick blacksmith project and that was a hook knife also called spoon knife. Handle is a Ash sandwich with a pocket chiseled in for the blade and a small pin (still missing here because I forgot to by rod) linseed olie coat and called it done

Cheese knife

New blacksmithing project a forked cheese knife

base material still on the tong side, simple strip of 20x5mm and bevel started on the blade end

fork bit chiseled it in and forged the tang out more

end of the afternoon it looked like this, not that good the curl sticking out would block cutting. Note glowing bat project of my colleague

it will end up something like this I hope, curl cut away and a smaller curl forged and tucked in the ricasso bit more shaping and grinding
Overall still a bit heavy and of balance I hope the profiling and grinding will fix that.
